Responding to the increasing demand for both 'radical', action-packed activities and the growing interest in the environment, there are now a number of companies who organise exciting adventure days in the spectacular local mountains.
Led by the ever-enthusiastic organisers, small convoys of cross-country four wheel drive vehicles will take you on a safari into stunning unexplored terrain. It might be a bit bumpy in places, but you will experience what you would never see otherwise, as qualified guides lead you past hanging bridges and waterfalls to spot Spanish Ibex and Golden Eagles.
You can choose between a variety of options, including the environmental safaris, which not only take you to see animals in the wild but also provide expert information about them. Lunch can be had in one of the white villages passed on the route, or if you opt for the more radical adventure days, al fresco in the great outdoors. The latter also includes such activities as organised canoeing, canyoning, hiking, caving and quad biking.
